McGregor, Jacksonville beats Morehead State 61-17

MOREHEAD, Ky. (AP) — Josh McGregor threw a school record seven touchdown passes to lead Jacksonville past Morehead State 61-17 on Saturday.

McGregor finished with 347 yards on 15-for-19 passing and had scores of 34, 49, 4, 7, 69, 13 and 21 yards.

Josh Philpart caught three touchdowns, Rudell Small and Rodney Sumter had two each and Elliot Finkley had one TD and 113 yards on two catches. Small also had 89 yards on 17 carries.

The Eagles took an early 3-0 lead on Rainer Duzan’s 28-yard field goal 2:18 into the game, but Jacksonville answered with 34 straight points — all on McGregor passes.

The Dolphins (8-1, 6-0 Pioneer Football League), who won their seventh straight to tie a school record set by the 2008 team, limited the Eagles to just 11 yards rushing.

Zach Lewis had 233 yards on 21-for-38 passing for Morehead State (3-5, 2-3).
