Lakewood 47, Prairie 34

Prairie returned two kickoffs for touchdowns, but the visiting Falcons could not keep up with Lakewood of Arlington.

Lakewood’s Justin Lane threw for 209 yards and five touchdowns to lead the Cougars.

A pair of second-quarter touchdowns allowed Prairie to pull within 29-27 at halftime. But three TD passes from Lane in the third quarter sealed the victory.

Statistics from Prairie’s players were not reported.

Next up: Prairie (0-1) vs. Hockinson.
