WASHINGTON (AP) — D.C. United defender Marc Burch has undergone season-ending surgery on his right foot.
Burch was hurt last week in United’s U.S. Open Cup semifinal loss to the Columbus Crew. He reaggravated an injury suffered in February that kept him out for most of the season and also required surgery.
Burch played in only four games this season.
The surgery was performed Tuesday in Baltimore.
