CHICAGO (AP) — Manny Ramirez is in the lineup for his home debut with the Chicago White Sox.

Ramirez is slated to bat fifth and serve as the designated hitter against the Kansas City Royals. He is 7 for 24 (.292), all singles, since joining the White Sox.

Chicago returned home after a 7-3 road trip during which they lost more ground in the AL Central. Minnesota entered play Friday with a six-game lead.

Ramirez says he is not feeling any pressure to carry the White Sox in the final three weeks of the season.

Chicago claimed the 12-time All-Star on waivers from the Los Angeles Dodgers on Aug. 30 and the slugger made his White Sox debut on Sept. 1 in Cleveland.
