KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. (AP) — Oregon’s Klamath Basin is getting $10 million in federal aid for water conservation and drought relief efforts.
Interior Secretary Ken Salazar said Thursday that the money will be provided through the Bureau of Reclamation to help save water for the Klamath Tribes and in areas served by the Klamath Reclamation Project.
The southern Oregon basin is experiencing one of its worst droughts since the 1940s.
