RENTON, Wash. (AP) — Pete Carroll’s high energy on the Seattle sideline last Sunday was surprising to some. His players weren’t the least shocked.
They’ve come to expect the fist pumps, laughs and enthusiasm from their head coach.
Sometimes that approach doesn’t work in the stoic NFL. But Carroll’s players say his attitude is genuine and authentic and they respect that. Receiver Mike Williams says they also understand when it’s time to be serious and when it’s OK to have some fun.
Seattle opened the season with a 31-6 win over San Francisco. They’ll try and go 2-0 for the first time since 2006 on Sunday at Denver.
