SALEM, Ore. (AP) — The driver of a Salem city dump truck and a resident of an adult care home were hurt when the truck careened off a hill and crashed into the house.

The Statesman Journal says neither of the men apparently suffered serious injuries in the Thursday accident in West Salem.

Police Cpl. Jim Welsh says the truck, which was pulling a portable toilet on a trailer, passed a dead-end barrier, then down the 75-foot hill into the home. Police identified the driver as 43-year-old Gordon Williams and say a medical problem may have caused the crash.

Four adults live at the privately owned home, which was extensively damaged.
