MELBOURNE, Australia (AP) — Collingwood and St. Kilda have played to the first tie, 68-68, in an Australian Rules football grand final since 1977, setting up a rematch next Saturday to decide the league title.

Collingwood scored 9.14 (68) to St. Kilda’s 10.8 (68) in front of 100,016 fans at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Saturday.

St. Kilda’s Lenny Hayes kicked a behind, for one point, to level the scores with 90 seconds remaining.

Collingwood kicked four of the first five goals to lead by 19 points after 13 minutes of the match. And although the Magpies led by 24 points at halftime, St. Kilda cut the lead to eight points at the start of the final quarter.

Collingwood also played in the last drawn grand final 33 years ago, against North Melbourne.
