Toman’s 4 TDs lead New Hampshire over Lehigh 31-10

DURHAM, N.H. (AP) — R.J. Toman threw for a career-high 348 yards and four touchdowns to lead New Hampshire over Lehigh 31-10 on Saturday.

Toman was 26-for-37 with two interceptions for the Wildcats (2-2), who tied a school record with their 11th straight home victory and snapped a two-game losing streak.

New Hampshire held the Mountain Hawks (2-2) to 129 total yards — 69 passing and 60 rushing — while rolling up 519. Dontra Peters rushed for 93 yards on 19 carries.

After Toman’s 1-yard touchdown pass to Joey Orlando put New Hampshire ahead 10-3, Lehigh’s Jay Campbell tied the game on an 11-yard touchdown with 14:04 left in the first half.

The Mountain Hawks would not score again.

Toman threw a 21-yard touchdown pass to Terrance Fox, who had a career-high 134 receiving yards, a 14-yarder to Peters and another 14 yarder to Orlando with 7:40 to go in the third quarter.
