CHICAGO (AP) — The Chicago Bears have waived guard Johan Asiata and promoted guard/center Edwin Williams from the practice squad.
The Bears made the moves before their game against the Green Bay Packers on Monday night.
Chicago claimed Williams off waivers Sept. 1. He was an undrafted free agent of the Redskins in 2009 and appeared in four games for Washington, starting two at right guard, after playing for Maryland.
Asiata had been used in short-yardage situations.
