ATLANTA (AP) — The Atlanta Braves plan to start Tim Hudson and Derek Lowe on three days’ rest during this last week of their playoff push.

The Braves needed to adjust their rotation because Jair Jurrjens is still slowed by a sore right knee.

Atlanta went into Monday night’s game against Florida trailing San Diego by a half-game in the NL wild-card race.

Manager Bobby Cox says he plans to start Hudson on Tuesday against the Marlins, followed by Lowe on Wednesday.

Jurrjens said a cortisone shot on Saturday helped only a little. He says he may have a second MRI exam if the knee doesn’t improve. The first test showed a slight tear.
