ASHLAND, Ore. (AP) — Southern Oregon University is emerging from the past into the virtual future by taking on a project that will streamline access to its website.
The Ashland Daily Tidings reports the upgraded university website will utilize social media and connect the community to new blogs.
The university didn’t have a website manager until Jeremy Speer took over as the new web communication manager last March.
The school had been using students and part-time positions to organize its website.
Speer says the upgrade project will help promote the university’s brand and make it easier for it to connect to the rest of the world.
