BUENOS AIRES, Argentina (AP) — The International Tennis Federation has confirmed that Argentina’s Davis Cup quarterfinal against Kazakhstan has been moved up one day to avoid a conflict with government elections.
The tie will now take place July 7-9 at Parque Roca in Buenos Aires.
Buenos Aires will hold mayoral elections on July 10 and sporting events are prohibited that day.
Argentina is looking to reach the semifinals for the seventh time in 10 years against a Kazakhstan team playing in the World Group for the first time.
