CHESTER, Pa. (AP) — One person remains in critical condition following a shooting at a teen party at a suburban Philadelphia social hall that killed another person and injured seven other people.
Police in Chester say a suspect was taken into custody after officers were called to the Minaret Temple No. 174 just before 11:30 p.m. Friday.
Police said nine people were transported to Crozer Chester Medical Center, where one person died. Two were initially listed in critical condition, but an official said Saturday afternoon that one was in critical condition and seven others were stable.
Police said the hall had been rented for a party, and many teenagers were present when the shots were fired.
Neighbors told the Delaware County Daily Times that a candlelight vigil is planned at the scene Saturday night.
