Letter: Burning Quran is act of stupidity

The Columbian
Published: April 10, 2011, 12:00am

Last month, Wayne Supp and Terry Jones, two ministers in Florida, burned the Quran. Why burn a Quran when they could burn much better material, like child porn? That would be a much better use of their time and effort. They could also burn satanic bibles, radical Christian literature, and anything from the NRA, or could direct attention to the organizations that advocate violence toward women.

How do they feel about the fact that there has been bloody retaliation because of this ill-advised action?

I say to their congregations: Hire a minister who displays some intelligence.
