Fircrest — Be prepared for more air traffic this spring and summer. More planes will be flying over the Fircrest and other Clark County neighborhoods due to ongoing construction at Portland International Airport. According to the Port of Portland’s website, “Residents may notice a change in aircraft flight activity” as the third and final phase of the South Runway Rehabilitation Project at the Portland airport will require a “six- to seven-month closure of the south parallel runway, effective April 4.” Construction is expected to end in early October, the website said.
