Letter: Stop spending what we don’t have

The Columbian
Published: April 14, 2011, 12:00am

Our Democrat incumbents are noted for bringing home lots of bacon, earmarks, etc.

They have no concept of a balanced budget or living within our tax base. Most Americans know we are broke.

Many people call the following impossible. Cut the federal government 10 percent per year for three years. All salaries and all government departments. Stop all subsidies, tax credits. We are printing money we don’t have.

We are borrowing money we can’t pay back. Someday, very soon, it will all crash.

We must force our Congressmen to cut our government and stop spending.
