ARCADIA, Calif. (AP) — Preamble defeated Lucky Primo by two lengths to win Thursday’s $62,540 Karma Is King Purse at Santa Anita for his third straight victory at the track this year.

Ridden by Martin Garcia, Preamble ran 1 1-16 miles in 1:41.98 and paid $7.60, $3.80 and $2.40. Lucky Primo returned $3.60 and $2.40. Uh Oh Bango was another head back in third and paid $2.10 to show.

The victory, worth $35,400, increased Preamble’s career earnings to $104,440.
