LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) — Get Stormy dominated the $300,000 Maker’s Mark Mile with a wire-to-wire victory on Friday at Keeneland.

The 5-year-old horse beat Workin for Hops by 234 lengths to pick up his first Grade 1 win. Jockey Javier Castellano sent Get Stormy to the front early and he had little trouble the rest of the way.

Get Stormy, owned by Mary Sullivan and trained by Tom Bush, covered the distance over the turf course in 1:37.31 and paid $10.20, $5 and $3.40.

Workin for Hops, piloted by Rosie Napravnik, stalked Get Stormy all the way around but couldn’t muster a challenge late and paid $7.60 and $4.60.

Society’s Chairman nipped Court Vision, who went off as the 7-5 favorite, at the wire to finish third and paid $3.20.
