Kennesaw State hires Preston from Penn State

KENNESAW, Ga. (AP) — Penn State assistant Lewis Preston is Kennesaw State’s new basketball coach.

Preston also previously served as an assistant coach at Florida, including on the 2007 national championship team, and on Mike Brey’s staff at Notre Dame.

Preston was hired by new athletic director Vaughn Williams. Preston was an assistant at Penn State for three years.

The 40-year-old Preston replaces Tony Ingle.

Preston played at Virginia Military Institute before playing professionally in Europe for four years.
