SEATTLE (AP) — The University of Washington Board of Regents is set to announce its choice for the university’s next president at a meeting on Monday morning.
Previous UW president Mark Emmert left last September to take a job as president of the NCAA.
The regents have said they wanted someone with excellent leadership, communication and fundraising skills, as well as an appreciation of the culture and mission of a public research university.
Emmert held the job for about six years. He was the country’s second-highest-paid public university president, behind E. Gordon Gee, of Ohio State University.
