A free talk on “Columbia Native Peoples and the Role of Women in Tribal Communities” will be presented at the Clark County Historical Museum this week as part of the monthly First Thursday events.
Pat Courtney Gold will deliver the presentation, which links two of the museum’s current exhibits: “Road to Equality” and “Woven History.” She is a Wasco-Chinook Indian originally from the Warm Springs Reservation in Oregon and has won recognition for her fiber art, including serving as an artist in residency at the Smithsonian Institution’s National Museum of the American Indian.
The talk begins at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Clark County museum, 1511 Main St. The museum will be open from 5 to 9 p.m. free of charge that evening.
