Summer has been more than a little hectic for Vancouver singer Katelynne Cox. In the past two months, Cox has played in more than 10 states as part of her “Making an Impact” tour with Garrett Godsey.
“It has been incredible,” said Cox, 17. “I’m sad the summer is about to shut down. It’s been fun to meet my fans. To meet so many new people.”
Cox has been touring in support of her first album, “One Girl,” a compilation of Christian pop songs released on May 17. She returns to Vancouver on Saturday for the Clark County Fair, where she promises to entertain crowds with her first single, “Me.”
“It’s so nice playing in your hometown,” Cox said.
Her concert begins at 5 p.m. at the Columbian Family Fun Stage.
And singing and performing isn’t all Cox has been doing this season. She’s also been working on a summer engineering program at Vanderbilt University in Tennessee.
