MEDFORD, Ore. (AP) — The Oregon man accused of killing his wife and four young children, then setting their house on fire, is due in court today to face aggravated murder charges.

Jordan Criado has been in a Medford hospital the past three weeks recovering from smoke inhalation, and was arrested Thursday and taken to jail after recovering enough to be discharged.

Police have said since the day of the fire that they suspected the 51-year-old Criado, a convicted child molester, of stabbing his wife and some of the kids and setting the fire that filled the small single-story house with smoke.

Firefighters and medics desperately worked on all six members of the family on their front lawn after pulling them from the burning house, but Criado was the only one to survive.
