LANDOVER, Md. (AP) — Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback Ike Taylor broke his left thumb in the first quarter of the 16-7 exhibition loss to the Washington Redskins on Friday night.

Coach Mike Tomlin said Taylor “could be out for a couple of weeks or so.” The coach says he’s not sure whether the thumb will require surgery.

Taylor was injured on the game’s second play and left later during the Redskins opening drive.
