SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. (AP) — Heavily favored My Miss Aurelia repelled a determined challenge from Millionreasonswhy in a long battle through the stretch to win the $150,000 Adirondack Stakes for 2-year-old fillies by a neck Sunday at Saratoga Race Course.

Julien Leparoux rode the Steve Asmussen-trained My Miss Aurelia, who ran 612 furlongs in 1:17.01 in what was her second career start. She earned $90,000 for owners George Bolton and Stonestreet Stables and paid $3, $2.10 and $2.10. Millionreasonswhy returned $2.50 and $2.10, and Bellacourt paid $2.40 to show.
