Sex offender research wins graduating Woodlander award

Woodland — When he graduated last month from Walden University, an online school, Roger Cook received not only his doctorate in psychology, but special recognition as well. Cook’s dissertation, “Predicting Recidivism of the Convicted Sexual Offender Using the Polygraph and the Static-99,” won a Contribution to the Profession Award from the school, recognizing a graduating student who has made an important contribution to his or her profession. President Bill Clinton spoke at the commencement, which was held in Minneapolis.
