MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Passengers on a Delta Air Lines flight from Minneapolis to Seattle were forced to make an emergency exit before the plane took off.
Flight 2153 was set to depart from Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport just after 3:30 p.m. Tuesday. Airport officials say shortly after all 224 passengers had boarded, the cockpit and cabin began to fill with smoke.
The crew decided to evacuate the plane using the emergency slides. No one was hurt.
Officials tell KSTP-TV (http://bit.ly/qtPnkt ) the passengers were returned to the terminal. Once the smoke had cleared they were allowed back on board to claim their belongings.
