MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Two people with knowledge of the situation tell The Associated Press that Rick Adelman is meeting in the Twin Cities with Timberswolves owner Glen Taylor about the open head coaching job.
The two people spoke on condition of anonymity because they are not authorized to comment publicly on the search.
Adelman had a phone conversation with Timberwolves president of basketball operations David Kahn earlier this summer, but was quoted in The Oregonian as saying that he planned to take next season off from coaching.
Adelman is 945-616 in 20 seasons as a head coach of the Trail Blazers, Kings, Warriors and Rockets.
