NEWBERG, Ore. (AP) — More than 120 people have evacuated an Oregon hotel following an early morning explosion.

The Oregonian newspaper reports (http://bit.ly/oeUsSt ) that the blast occurred about 3 a.m. at the Best Western hotel in Newberg, southwest of Portland.

Newberg-Dundee Police Capt. Jeff Kosmicki says three people who had been in the room where the explosion occurred were injured. A 29-year-old man was flown to a hospital with burns, and a toddler and a 26-year-old woman were also hospitalized. The extent of their injuries was not known.

Officials are investigating whether the explosion was the result of a drug-making operation.

Kosmicki said 123 people at the hotel were evacuated and placed on buses and have not been allowed back into the hotel.
