CHICAGO (AP) — New U.S. soccer coach Jurgen Klinsmann will soon get his first look at Clint Dempsey and Jozy Altidore. Both players are on the 24-man roster for exhibitions next month against Costa Rica and Belgium.

While Klinsmann brought back many of the players who were in camp for the Aug. 10 game against Mexico, he bypassed Freddy Adu. The former phenom, who recently signed with the Philadelphia Union, did not dress for the game in which the Americans rallied for a draw with a second-half goal.

The Americans play Costa Rica on Sept. 2 in Carson, Calif., then travel to Brussels for a game against Belgium four days later.
