HILLSBORO, Ore. (AP) — A rope rescue crew in Oregon’s Washington County has rescued a hunter who had been trapped part-way down a cliff after a fall.

Sheriff’s Lt. Dave Thompson tells KGW-TV (http://bit.ly/oMLd00) that deputies were in cell phone contact with the man.

He reportedly fell about 200 feet and was able to grab onto a tree branch, but was on unstable ground.

The rescue crew got the unidentified man down safely late Monday afternoon. He did not suffer any serious injuries.
