MIAMI (AP) — The threat of severe weather forced the stadium to be cleared for about 30 minutes before Thursday night’s game between North Texas and Florida International.

Lightning was reported in the area before kickoff. The first warning was sounded 1 1/2 hours before the scheduled 7:04 p.m. kickoff, and two other announcements were made for fans to clear the 18,000-seat stadium, which was about half-full, and seek shelter.

The game got under way at 7:21 p.m.
