STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (AP) — The lawyer for Jerry Sandusky says he’s prepared to question any alleged victims who testify at the former Penn State football coach’s preliminary hearing next week on child sex abuse charges.

Joe Amendola says he’s looking forward to the chance to face Sandusky’s alleged victims in court on December 13. In a statement late Monday, Amendola said he’s prepared for the hearing and the opportunity to question the state’s witnesses.

At least one victim is expected to testify at the hearing.

Sandusky is accused of sexually abusing eight boys over a 15-year span. Some of the alleged abuse happened on Penn State’s campus, prompting a scandal that resulted in the ouster of school President Graham Spanier and longtime coach Joe Paterno.

Sandusky maintains his innocence.
