NEW YORK (AP) — Chris Martin scored 15 points and Wagner pulled away from Hofstra 58-43 Tuesday night by holding the Pride without a field goal for a 15-minute stretch in the second half.
The Seahawks (7-2), who have won six of their last seven games, shot only 33.9 percent from the floor (19 of 56), which was still better than Hofstra’s 28.9 percent (13 of 45).
The Pride (3-6) made only 4 of 22 field goals in the second half (18.2 percent), missing 12 straight attempts, as Wagner expanded on its 26-23 halftime lead.
Kenneth Ortiz added 12 points and five steals for the Seahawks, Orlando Parker had 11 points and nine rebounds and Tyler Murray chipped in 10 points.
