Skyview 61, Heritage 53 — Ryan Bickford scored 13 of his game-high 21 points in the Storm’s big fourth quarter and grabbed nine rebounds in the 4A GSHL win.

Levi Gellatly had 12 points and seven rebounds for Skyview, and Spencer Paulin chipped in nine points and five assists.

Skyview led 30-18 at halftime but the Timberwolves cranked up the pressure in the third quarter and capitalized on Storm turnovers for a 37-36 lead going into the final period before Bickford took over.

The Storm had just nine players, partly because football players do not yet have enough basketball practices to play after the run to the state championship game. Those players will be eligible for Skyview’s next game, Tuesday against Union.

Timmy Hergert poured in a game-high 26 points for Heritage, frequently hitting tough shots with a hand in his face.
