Clark County pageant contestants take stage Saturday

Miss Clark County and Miss Clark County’s Outstanding Teen will be crowned Saturday.

Doors open at 2 p.m., and the pageant starts at 2:30 p.m. in the Evergreen High School auditorium, 14300 N.E. 18th St., Vancouver. Tickets are $15.

Miss Clark County 2011 Katie Parsons and Miss Clark County’s Outstanding Teen 2001 Alicia Cooper will be in attendance, along with master of ceremonies Jacquie Brown, the Vancouver native crowned Miss Washington in 2010.

This year, 16 girls and women are vying for the titles.

The 2012 Miss Clark County contestants are:

• Alyssa Pilot.

• Jenny Lubanovini.

• Angelica Olson.

• Anna Buchholz.

• Sadie Johnson.

• Sarah Custer.

The 2012 Miss Clark County Outstanding Teen contestants are:

• Amethyst Ackerman.

• Brianna Scott.

• Jenny Nicole Reynolds.

• Jordan Gaylor.

• Kennedy Brinkley.

• Korrina Asmus-Sivongxay.

• Lydia Brown.

• MaKayla Wilson.

• Taylor Betterton.

Miss Clark County is an official preliminary to the Miss Washington and Miss America programs.

Miss America is among the largest providers of scholarships for young women in the world today.

The goal of the Miss Clark County Scholarship Organization is to provide educational scholarship dollars to the young women of Clark County. Information about the group’s mission is online at http://missclarkcounty.org.
