AUBURN, Wash. (AP) — A woman was killed in a fiery crash early Wednesday in Auburn.

Police told KIRO-TV a speeding car crashed into a power pole about 1 a.m.

Neighbors who heard the loud crash pulled the driver out of the car. He has been taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

But the car burst into flames before the woman passenger could be removed. She was found dead after firefighters arrived.

The crash knocked out power for a couple of hours for 7,300 Puget Sound Energy customers.
