CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) — Jamarco Warren scored 33 points to lead Charleston Southern over Virginia Military Institute 101-90 on Thursday night.

It was the first time the Bucanneers (13-11, 7-5 Big South Conference) scored at least 100 points against a current Big South opponent. The win keeps Charleston Southern as one of just five Division I programs with its men’s and women’s teams undefeated at home.

The Keydets (12-10, 5-7), who trailed the entire second half, cut it to three, 90-87, on Ron Burks’ tip-in with 3:51 remaining. The Buccaneers then scored five straight as part of an 11-1 run, sparked by Kelvin Martin’s two free throws.

Jeremy Sexton added 20 points and Martin had 13 points and 14 rebounds for Charleston Southern, which won its 10th straight at home.

Austin Kenon led four Keydets in double figures with 30 points. Rodney Glasgow added 19 and Stan Okoye and Burks had 12 each.
