LORETTO, Pa. (AP) — Frankie Dobbs’ jump shot with 1 second left gave Bryant a 70-69 win over St. Francis (Pa.) on Saturday.
The Bulldogs (8-16, 6-6 Northeast Conference) led 66-60 with 57 seconds to play before Shannon Umar scored four straight to pull St. Francis within two with 45 seconds to go.
Dobbs made two free throws to make it a four-point game 20 seconds later, but Will Felder answered with a jumper for the Red Flash with 17 seconds to go. Umar then put St. Francis (7-16, 5-7) ahead 69-68 on a 3-pointer with 5 seconds remaining, leaving time for Dobbs to get off his game-winner.
