CARBONDALE, Ill. (AP) — Andrew Warren scored 23 points, including a go-ahead 3-pointer with 18 seconds remaining and a pair of free throws that clinched it, as Bradley defeated a short-handed Southern Illinois team 69-66 Saturday.

Warren’s 3-pointer gave the Braves (8-16, 2-11 Missouri Valley) a 67-66 lead. After Mamadou Seck missed a one-and-one free-throw opportunity for Southern Illinois (10-14, 4-9), Warren got the rebound and was fouled with 4 seconds remaining.

Dyricus Simms-Edwards added 18 points and six assists for Bradley, which won its second straight after losing its previous 11 games.

Carlton Fay and Kendal Brown-Surles each had 18 points for the Salukis, who were without three players suspended for violating the school’s code of conduct after an incident on campus Thursday evening. Starters Mykel Cleveland and Gene Teague and reserve Troy Long were each suspended three games.
