TILLAMOOK, Ore. (AP) — Oregon State Police say a 33-year-old Tillamook-area woman and her 8-year-old daughter died in a head-on crash on Oregon Highway 6 near Tillamook.

Police say the woman crossed the center line on a curve Tuesday afternoon and collided with a commercial truck.

Troopers say the mother was wearing a seat belt and the girl was in a booster seat in the back seat. They were not immediately identified.

Sgt. Greg Plummer says the 65-year-old truck driver suffered minor injuries.

The highway was closed for 412 hours while troopers investigated the crash.
