CULLOWHEE, N.C. (AP) — The men’s college basketball game between Chattanooga and Western Carolina has been postponed because of a flu outbreak that has left the Mocs with just five healthy players.
The Southern Conference announced the postponement on Wednesday. The game was originally scheduled for Thursday night.
In accordance with guidelines from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, the affected players have been quarantined for a 48-hour period, at which time they will be re-examined.
The game has been rescheduled for Monday, Feb. 14 and will be part of a men’s and women’s basketball doubleheader for Western Carolina. The Catamount women will play Georgia Southern prior to the men’s game.
