Bose leads Nicholls State to 70-48 victory

CONWAY, Ark. (AP) — Anatoly Bose scored 21 points and added 14 rebounds to lead Nicholls State to a 70-48 victory over Central Arkansas on Wednesday night.

Bryan Hammond added 17 points and Dantrell Thomas has 15 for the Colonels (13-11, 7-6 Southland), who shot 54.2 percent while limiting the Bears to 34.8 percent shooting.

Imad Qahwash scored 13 point to lead the Bears (5-21, 1-12), who have lost seven straight. No other player for Central Arkansas scored in double figures.

Nicholls State held Central Arkansas to six field goals in the first half and took a 32-18 lead into halftime.

The Colonels pushed their lead to 24 in the second half, outscored the Bears in the paint 36-16 and outrebounded them 38-23.
