PHOENIX (AP) — Brewers catcher Jonathan Lucroy broke his right pinkie finger Wednesday and will see a doctor for further evaluation.

Lucroy didn’t want to comment about the injury to reporters until he saw the specialist, but had a splint around the finger. The 24-year-old was hurt during Milwaukee’s second full squad practice.

Lucroy hit .253 with four homers and 26 RBIs in 75 games in his rookie season last year after beginning the year at Double-A Huntsville.

Right-hander Mark Rogers, a former first-round pick, ended a live batting practice session early and right-hander Zack Greinke didn’t throw as scheduled with a ribcage bruise, but neither injury is considered serious.
