Published:

Clark County commissioners have put out a call for residents interested in serving on the new Clark County Communities Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee.

The group will advise commissioners on planning, funding and implementation of the county’s bicycle and pedestrian plan, according to a press release issued by Laurie Lebowsky of the county’s community planning department. Lebowsky said applicants should have knowledge or interest in walking and cycling issues in the county.

Members will prepare for and attend monthly meetings from 6 to 8 p.m. on the fourth Tuesday of every month.

People who use public transit, Volksmarchers, bicycle commuters, recreational cyclists, students, neighborhood group members and those involved in mobility issues are encouraged to apply.

The deadline is 5 p.m. March 7.

Applicants should submit a letter to Jennifer Clark, Board of County Commissioners, P.O. Box 5000, Vancouver, WA 98666-5000; fax it to 360-397-6058; or e-mail it to jennifer.clark@clark.wa.gov.
