PEORIA, Ill. (AP) — Carlton Fay scored 18 points Tuesday night to lead Southern Illinois to a 72-64 victory over Bradley.

Justin Bocot scored 14 points and Mamadou Seck had 11 points and nine rebounds for the Salukis (8-6, 2-1). SIU shot 62.5 percent from the field (15 of 24) in the first half in building a 35-27 lead.

The Salukis finished at 51 percent from outside, and preserved the victory by making all 10 of their free-throw attempts in the final minute.

Dyricus Simms-Edwards led Bradley (6-8, 0-3) with 18 points. Andrew Warren added 12 points and seven rebounds for the Braves, but made just 3 of 14 shots from the field, and missed a free throw to end his consecutive streak from the foul line at 40 — four short of tying James Gillingham’s Bradley record.
