SEATTLE (AP) — The National Weather Service says cold weather and the potential of heavy snow are headed for the Pacific Northwest.
The service says to expect low temperatures in the 20s Monday night in western Washington and Oregon and in the single digits in eastern Washington and Oregon. By Tuesday night, though, there’s the possibility of widespread snow on the west side — up to 8 inches in the Portland-Vancouver area and 5 inches around Seattle on Wednesday. Spokane could get up to 14 inches. Rain and cold are likely in southwestern and southeastern Oregon.
The weather service says it’s too early to tell where the brunt of the bad weather might hit. But it says Monday and Tuesday would be a great time to prepare.
