How ‘bout dem Seahawks!
In the wake of Seattle’s unexpected victory over the defending Super Bowl champion New Orleans Saints on Saturday, we predict even more whining about the NFL playoff system that sends a team with the second best record in the NFC on the road to play a team with a losing record.
But the whiners miss the point.
As long as there are divisions in the NFL, there should be a real reward for winning them. The Seahawks did that this season. The Saints were second best in their division.
By winning on Saturday, the Seahawks did their part to defend a playoff formula that works just fine.
