North Dakota defeats Longwood 90-74

GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) — Josh Schuler scored 21 points Sunday night to lead North Dakota past Longwood 90-74.

Troy Huff had 15 points and 13 rebounds for the Fighting Sioux (6-9) in the nonconference matchup. Schuler and Huff, both freshmen, led North Dakota to its highest-scoring game of the season.

Patrick Mitchell scored 13 points and Brandon Brekke added 10 for North Dakota, which shot 55 percent from the field.

Jan van der Kooij led Longwood (6-14) with 20 points. Jeremiah Bowman contributed 16 points for the Lancers.
